This page is your one-stop for all BR gear — team suits, custom swim caps, apparel, and more. The store is open to everyone: swimmers, families, and people you know. Purchasing through our SwimOutlet store benefits the team directly, so feel free to spread the word and show some Barracuda pride.
A few things to know before you order:
- Gear is optional, not mandatory. Existing suits and caps are perfectly fine. New gear is a great way to show team spirit, but there's no requirement to buy.
- Two ways to order. Most items are available anytime through our SwimOutlet store — browse, purchase, and have gear shipped directly to your door. Custom caps are ordered through this page with a deadline. See below for details.
- Deadline for custom caps has passed for the 2026 season (May 31)
Team Suits
Team suits are available in the SwimOutlet store above. Order anytime — items ship directly to your door. Custom team suits typically ship within 7–10 business days of ordering. Our first meet is June 25, so we recommend ordering by early June at the latest — earlier is better.
Not sure about sizing? We'll have a SwimOutlet fit kit available at the Ice Cream Social on May 7 — a great opportunity to try on suits before you order. We'll have a range of sizes on hand for both boys and girls.
Here's a quick guide to help you choose the right suit:
Boys
- TYR Durafast Jammer — the standard choice for most male swimmers. A jammer-style suit (knee-length) is what you'll see on the majority of BR boys at meets.
- TYR Durafast Brief — a more minimal racing suit preferred by some competitive swimmers.
Not sure what to get? The jammer is the right call for most boys. The brief is a personal preference for more competitive swimmers.
Girls
- Sporti Solid Wide Strap (~$35–39) — a great choice for younger swimmers or anyone who prefers a more secure, comfortable fit. Entry price point.
- Sporti Solid Thin Strap (~$31–35) — a more competitive cut at the same entry price point. A good option for swimmers who prefer a sleeker fit.
- TYR Durafast Elite Diamondfit (~$74–86) — TYR's premium chlorine-resistant suit, built for durability and performance. A great choice for swimmers who are in the water regularly and want a suit that holds up all season.
- Jolyn Brandon 2 (~$83) — a fashion-forward cross-back one-piece popular with high school and middle school swimmers. Same navy team colorway with BR logo.
Not sure what to get? The Sporti Wide Strap is the recommended starting point for younger swimmers. Older or more competitive swimmers tend to gravitate toward the TYR Durafast or Jolyn. All four suits come in the BR navy colorway with team logo.
Custom Swim Caps
Free Blue Ridge latex caps are available at the pool — ask a coach for one. A great starting point for younger swimmers or anyone just getting started. Please note: the ordering deadline for custom silicone swim caps has closed for the 2026 season (May 31st), so if you'd like a silicone cap, your best option is to likely order an uncustomized one from Swim Outlet. The following is for reference for future years!
We have four cap options this season:
- Free Latex Cap — available at the pool, no order required. Ask a coach.
- Team Silicone Cap — $9 per cap, no personalization — a comfortable, durable silicone cap with the BR logo. Silicone stretches better than latex and doesn't snag hair. Available individually — no minimum order.
- Personalized Silicone Cap — $25 for 2 caps — same durable silicone construction, with your swimmer's last name printed on the cap. Sold in pairs. A popular choice for swimmers who want a personalized team cap that's comfortable for all hair types and lengths.
- Personalized Dome Cap — $48 for 2 caps — a high-end racing cap with a tight, contoured fit designed to reduce drag. Sold in pairs with your swimmer's last name. The most competitive option, best suited for swimmers who race regularly — typically 10-and-up. Note: the dome cap's snug fit works best for swimmers with shorter hair or hair worn close to the head. Swimmers with longer or thicker hair may find the personalized silicone cap more comfortable.
Not sure which to get? The free latex cap is a great starting point for younger swimmers or anyone just getting started. The team silicone cap is a simple, affordable upgrade with the BR logo — no personalization required. The personalized silicone cap is the most popular choice for families who want their swimmer's name on a comfortable, durable cap. The dome cap is the right choice for competitive swimmers focused on race performance — just keep in mind the fit note above if your swimmer has longer hair. Not sure which is right for your swimmer? Ask a coach — they can help you decide or point you to a teammate who has one you can try on.

Gear Swap
Swimmers grow fast — and quality suits and caps often have plenty of life left in them. We encourage families to buy, sell, and trade gently used gear through the Blue Ridge neighborhood Facebook group and at early-season team social events. If you have gear to pass along, post it in the group. If you're looking for a deal before buying new, check there first.
