Gear Up for Blue Ridge Swim Team!

Hello Blue Ridge Swim Team!

It’s time to gear up for Blue Ridge Swim Team! Swim team is a great opportunity to
swim, compete, and build community and we’ll be your guides this year as we
navigate another unique year. Swim team is only available to Blue Ridge Residents.

Here are some important updates and actions –

1.Sign up for Swim Team by May 14th (should be available by April 16): TBD

2.All Parent Meeting, Tuesday April 27th 6pm via Zoom: TBD

This will replace the originally communicated April 20th new parent
meeting. 

We are aiming to have information from the
league regarding swim meets, spectators, and volunteer needs.

It’s very important that one guardian attends to hear how swim team will operate this year.

3.Ice Cream Social & Apparel Ordering Info in clubhouse parking lot, Tuesday May 4th with staggered arrival times (see below)

To keep our traditional ice cream social Covid friendly, we will hand out ice
cream bars or a non-dairy option to go to swimmers during their assigned time slot.

We will have all apparel ordering available (swimsuits, t-shirts / sweatshirts, hat, bags, personalize swim caps) etc. that evening as well as shared via email to order by May 14th.

There will not be any swimsuit fitting sessions this year. Ordering for swimsuits and apparel will be online.

  • Here are the times for groups to arrive / hangout:
  • 5:30-6pm: 8 & Unders
  • 6-6:30pm: 9-10 year olds
  • 6:30-7pm: 11-12 year olds
  • 7 – 7:30pm: 13-14 year olds
  • 7:30-8:00pm: 15+ year olds

Barracuda Dates to Remember:

  • Swim Team signs up: April 16th - May 14th
  • All Parent Meeting @6pm via Zoom: April 27th
  • Ice Cream Social & Apparel Ordering Info: May 4th 5:30-8pm (see age
    group time slots above)
  • Evening practices begin: Monday, May 17th
  • Morning practices start: Monday, June 21st
  • Spaghetti Dinner (TBC): Tuesday, June 22nd 5:30-7:30pm
  • Intra-Squad meet (TBC): Week of June 21st, 6/24
  • End of Year Banquet (Dessert): Wednesday, Aug. 4th, 6:00-7:30pm
