What an amazing start to pool season! It was awesome to see so many families up at the pool this weekend enjoying the beautiful new facilities. A huge thank you to Dom, Phillipa, and the pool team for working so hard to get everything ready and kick off the season in style. Congrats to raffle winner (and Blue Ridge pool legend) Vaughn O'Rourke for taking home the Funboy Pool Float!

A few updates as we officially kick off swim team season:

Intro Programs Start Tonight

We're so excited to welcome our newest Barracudas to the pool! Mini Barracudas Session A gets things going at 5:30pm, Session B at 6:00pm, and Intro Swim Camp at 6:30pm.

If you've registered for an intro program, you should have received a welcome email from Coach Dom on Friday with your program details. If you didn't receive it, or if you're still planning to register, please reach out to us at [email protected] as soon as possible.

Team Store is Live!

The 2026 Blue Ridge Barracudas Team Store is now live! We're back with SwimOutlet this season for team suits, swim apparel, and fan gear — browse anytime and have it shipped directly to your door. Visit the Team Store page on Swimtopia for full details, suit guidance, and ordering instructions.

Team Suits: We're using the same suit design as prior seasons, so if you have a suit that still fits, no need to order a new one. For those looking to order, we have a full range of options for boys and girls — including the new Sporti Solid Wide Strap for girls, a wider strap design at an entry price point that's a great fit for younger swimmers.

Not sure what size to order? We'll have a fit kit at the Ice Cream Social on Thursday, May 7th — a great chance to try on suits before you buy.

Personalized Swim Caps: Personalized Blue Ridge silicone swim caps are available in a few styles and can be personalized with your swimmer's name. Because we order in bulk, there is an order deadline of Wednesday, May 27. Full details on the Team Store page.

Apparel & Spirit Wear: T-shirts, sweatshirts, parkas, and more are available in the store and ship directly to you — no deadline, order anytime throughout the season. We're also working on some fun new custom items for 2026 — stay tuned, and if you have ideas for things you'd like to see in the store, let us know at [email protected].

Ice Cream Social — This Thursday, May 7th at 6:30pm

A beloved Barracudas tradition to kick off the season — swing by the pool for a sweet treat, catch up with teammates and neighbors, and stick around for fun and games in the pool. Whether you're a returning family or brand new to the team, it's a great way to connect before practices get fully underway.

Please RSVP in Swimtopia so we have a rough sense of how many to expect — and while you're there, consider signing up to help with setup, serving, or cleanup.
