A few important reminders and updates as we head into the last week of May.

Cap Ordering Deadline — This Friday, May 29th

We extended the custom cap order deadline by a couple of days to give everyone a bit more time. Orders must be placed by this Friday, May 29th — we'll be consolidating and placing the team order over the weekend.

If you'd like a stylish, personalized silicone cap for the meets, order now in the team store. And while you're there — team suits take 7–10 business days to arrive, so if you still need one, now is a good time to order. T-shirts, sweatshirts, the new personalized parka, and other apparel are also available with no deadline.

Waivers — Please Complete

We still need many families to complete the required GSSSL/Blue Ridge participation waiver. It only takes a few minutes and covers the league Code of Conduct, liability release, concussion acknowledgment, and photo/video release. Volunteer Sign-Ups

On the Horizon

A few upcoming events — more details to come as we get closer:

• Parent Survival Guide Meeting — Tuesday, June 16 (time TBD during evening practice): Everything you need to know to get ready for a swim meet — what to bring, how the day works, and how to volunteer. Great for newer families and a solid refresher for returning ones.
• Intrasquad Time Trials — Thursday, June 18 (time TBD during evening practice): A great opportunity to see what swim racing looks like, get some entry times before the season, and experience some of the volunteer work that goes into running a meet. We also have a few fun changes planned to make this a team event — stay tuned.
• Pancake Breakfast — Monday, June 22: We kick off morning practices with a team pancake breakfast, followed by buddy groups and an all-ages practice and games event. A Barracudas tradition!

Did you know you can subscribe to the Barracudas Swimtopia calendar and have all meets and events automatically appear in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any other calendar app? It updates automatically when anything changes too.

To set it up: head to Meets & Events on Swimtopia and look for the Subscribe button next to the calendar heading. Click it and follow the instructions for your calendar app. Takes a few seconds.
