A few quick event reminders as we kick off the final week of evening practices — it's a busy and exciting stretch ahead!

Parent Survival Guide Meeting — Tomorrow, Tuesday June 16th at 5:30pm

Join us in the Clubhouse for a practical rundown of everything you need to know to be meet-ready — what to pack, when to arrive, how to read a heat sheet, how post-season works, and more. Great for new families, and worth a refresher for returning ones too. We'll have snacks and drinks (including adult ones!) on hand. Hope to see you there!

Intrasquad Time Trials — Thursday, June 18th at 5:30pm

Our annual internal practice meet is this Thursday! Blue Ridge swimmers only, real blocks, real timing — a great low-stakes preview of what a dual meet looks like. Sign up in Swimtopia — declaration deadline is 9:00 AM Thursday. Staggered warm-ups by age group:

• 5:30 PM — All swimmers and families arrive; 8 & Under warm-ups begin
• 5:45 PM — 8 & Under events begin
• ~6:30 PM — Warm-ups for ages 9–18
• ~6:45 PM — Events begin for ages 9–18

All families are encouraged to arrive at 5:30 to cheer on the 8 & Unders! Full details on the Intrasquad Time Trials page.

Pancake Breakfast + Morning Practices Begin — Monday, June 22nd at 8am

We kick off the transition to morning practices with an all-team celebration — starting with our annual pancake breakfast, followed by Buddy Group activities and team games. Stay tuned for more details on the 2026 Buddy Program coming soon!

First Dual Meet @ Aqua Club — Thursday, June 25th

The racing begins! Our first dual meet is next Thursday at Aqua Club — arrive at 5pm, meet starts at 6pm. Sign up in Swimtopia — sign-ups close at noon the day before each meet.

First Home Meet vs. Sand Point — Tuesday, June 30th

Our first home meet is just two weeks away! Sign up to swim, and sign up to volunteer — we need the whole Barracuda community to make our home meets run. We're especially in need of folks for Computer Operations and Stroke & Turn Judge roles. These are easier to learn than they sound and have a huge impact on how our meets run.
