Barracuda Nation!

Thanks to all the swimmers for showing up with such energy to yesterday's annual Pancake Breakfast! It was a great way to kick off morning practices and get ready for this week's first meet against Aqua Club.

We're working on putting together the Buddy Group posters from all the Instax photos taken at breakfast. If you missed getting your Buddy Group picture, just chat with a coach or coordinator and we'll get you taken care of — we'd love everyone on the team represented in the posters. Check out the Blue Ridge Pool Instagram post to relive some of the fun!

Thanks so much to all the parents who helped with setup, serving, and cleanup. We're looking forward to more Buddy Group activities as the season continues.

Aqua Club Sign-Ups Close Tomorrow

We're two days out from our first dual meet — away at Aqua Club, Thursday, June 25th at 6pm. Reminder: you need to sign up to swim in the meet. Visit the meet sign-up page in Swimtopia, or check out instructions for how to sign up if you need a refresher. If your swimmer isn't attending, it's helpful for us to know that too — just mark them as not attending.

Sign-ups close Wednesday, June 24th at 12pm (the day before the meet).

We still need more Age Group Coordinators!

We really need a couple more 10&U Boys and 10&U Girls parents to help as Age Group Coordinator for these age groups. We already have a couple of experienced AGC parents signed up, so no need to feel like you have to know it all going in — having 1–2 more people per age group to shadow and learn alongside them would be really helpful, and a great way to get comfortable with the role for future meets. Getting swimmers to their events on time (especially for medley relays) makes a big difference. If you have a swimmer in these age groups and can help out, we'd be really appreciative — drop us a note at [email protected] and we'll get you added.

Volunteer Needs for First Home Meet

We're also a week away from our first home meet of the year — Tuesday, June 30th at 6pm vs. Sand Point. We're off to a great start with volunteer sign-ups, but we still need about 42 more Deck Crew volunteers, including 17 timers, 2 stroke and turn judges, 4 ribbon writers, 7 concessions helpers, and several more! If it's easier to browse in person, we've also posted the current sign-up list at the pool — you can see exactly what's filled and what's still open.

For families who aren't able to take an active shift at the meet, we've also opened up concessions donation sign-ups as another way to pitch in.
