What a night! Congratulations to the entire team on an awesome final home meet against Sheridan Beach — it's hard to believe the regular season is already over. Swim season certainly goes by quickly. Fortunately there's more fun in store!

A special congratulations to our graduating seniors — Evan, Jack, Jackson, Juliette, Max, and Savannah — for wrapping up their final races at the Blue Ridge pool. We're so proud of each of you and grateful for everything you've brought to this team. And to our honorary senior, Karen Bombino — thank you for your many years of service to Blue Ridge and swim team, and for helping make our pool and community such a special place. Kudos to the coaching staff and lifeguards for an epic Minions staff show!

For swimmers not continuing in post-season, congratulations on an awesome season! For those continuing on, read on for some important reminders — there are some tight deadlines this week.

Practice Time Changes — Starting Tomorrow

Post-season practice times start tomorrow for swimmers who are swimming in Summer Showcase, or Prelims. Please note: even if you didn't qualify in an individual event, you may be added as part of a relay team, or as a relay alternate. We'll send a note tomorrow to let you know if you're part of prelim qualifier, individual, or relay. Here's the updated post-season schedule:

• 8 & Under, 9–10, 11–12: 8–9am
• 13–14, 15–18: 9–10am

Summer Showcase — Sign Up by Wednesday at 12pm

The Summer Showcase is Thursday, July 23rd at Aqua Club, 4:00pm. This is a celebratory, championship-style meet with no team scoring and no relays — perfect for swimmers who aren't continuing to Prelims and want to experience a post-season meet atmosphere, or for those chasing one last opportunity to post a Prelims qualifying time. It's a great meet and we'd love a strong Blue Ridge showing! Please sign up by 12pm on Wednesday, July 22nd if you'd like to swim so Coach Dom can submit the entries.

We also need timers — sign up to help if you're able.

See the Post-Season Guide for full eligibility details. Swimtopia should be updated with Sheridan Beach results — if you think you've qualified and aren't able to register, let Coach Dom know ASAP. Please sign up by Thursday at 12pm — sooner is better, as Coach Dom needs to finalize entries by Friday evening. For swimmers who qualify at Summer Showcase on Thursday, Coach Dom will add you to the Prelims entries after that meet. 

End of Season Party — Wednesday, August 5th, 6–9pm

A reminder that our end-of-season celebration is moving to the pool this year — pool party, Chipotle catering, and the annual awards and slideshow. Please RSVP in Swimtopia for your whole family, including guests not listed in Swimtopia. More details to come!
