Post Season Week Ahead: Practice Schedule, Prelims, Northerns, Adult Meet Recap, and More!

Barracuda Nation!

Busy post-season week ahead, with Girls Prelims tomorrow (Monday, 7/27) at View Ridge, Boys Prelims Tuesday (7/28) at Sand Point, and Northern Divisionals Thursday (7/30) at Klahaya for the top 6 finishers (and 2 alternates) in each event from Prelims.

We sent out more detailed meet information for the prelim meets to families attending each — if you didn't get those notes and believe you're attending, please let us know ASAP so we can get things sorted out.

We hope to have a strong Blue Ridge showing at each meet to cheer on the Barracudas! And if you want to help out, we still need a couple more timers: 1 more for Girls Prelims and 2 more for Boys Prelims. Please sign up on Swimtopia (Girls Prelims | Boys Prelims).

A few other reminders for the week ahead.

Practices

Practices continue for prelim qualifiers Monday and Tuesday:

  • 8 & Under, 9–10, 11–12: 8–9am
  • 13–14, 15–18: 9–10am

On Wednesday, practices continue for Northern qualifiers only, same times. Practice times are always posted on the Practices page.

Northerns Information

We'll send out more detailed information to Northern qualifiers after the prelim meets, but we know Blue Ridge warms up 2:45pm – 3:00pm, Lanes 4–6 at Klahaya. We'll also need to provide 3 timers for that meet — if you'd like to help out, please sign up here, and thank you! Northern qualifiers will be posted on the GSSSL post-season results page after the prelim meets.

Coaches Gift

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to the coaches gift — we're grateful for the generosity so far. There's still time to give if you haven't yet, and we'd love to see gifts from as many families as possible to show our coaches how much we appreciate them this season. Visit the coaches gift page for more information on how to contribute.

End of Season Party

A reminder to RSVP for the end of season party at the pool on Wednesday August 5, and to submit any photos or videos from the season to our Google Photos album for the slideshow. If you're able to help with a dessert donation or clean-up crew, we'd appreciate the help there too.

Adult Meet Recap

Finally, this past Saturday, the Barracuda “alumni” crew headed to Sheridan Beach to swim in the annual adult meet. It was, as always, a fantastic event, and Blue Ridge represented well. A special thanks to Jae Kim for leading the adult squad again, and congratulations to everyone who participated. Check out more photos on the Blue Ridge Instagram page to relive the excitement. The crew has already started training for the 2027 meet!

Congratulations to every Blue Ridge swimmer who qualified for the post-season — we're excited to cheer you on this week! As always, any questions, drop us a note.

Go Barracudas!
