Barracuda Nation!

Awesome showing from the girls prelims qualifiers tonight at View Ridge! What a fun meet in the sun. Blue Ridge represented well, with 9 swimmers qualifying for an event in Northerns (9 individual events, 3 relay events), 3 as alternates, and a ton of personal bests (24 time drops) throughout the meet. Whether tonight was your final meet of the season, or you're continuing on to Northerns, well done girls! Full Girls Prelims results are on the GSSSL post-season page.

Congratulations to all of the swimmers, and huge thanks to all parents and especially the coaches for showing up in force and being loud behind the blocks throughout the meet. And thanks to Laura, David, Beth, and Erin for representing Blue Ridge as meet volunteers. Onwards!

Boys Prelims Tomorrow

Tomorrow night, it's the boys' turn, with Boys Prelims at Sand Point. Reminder: warm-ups at 2:45pm, so plan ahead and get there early since it will likely take 10–15 minutes to park and walk to the pool. Looks like tomorrow night will be a tad less sunny than today, but the Sand Point parking lot (where teams will be sitting outside the pool) can get very hot in the sun, so consider bringing pop-up tents or other shade to help keep cool.

We still need 2 more timers to help with the meet, so if you're attending, please consider helping out. And thanks to Jenn B. (timer) and Emily H. (Stroke & Turn) for already stepping up.

Practice Schedule

Practice tomorrow (Tuesday) will be for boys prelims qualifiers and girls Northern qualifiers. Wednesday and Thursday will be for Northern qualifiers, and then Friday through Tuesday will be for All City qualifiers. Same times as before — see the practice schedule for more information.

Northerns

More details on Northerns will be sent out after Boys Prelims, but if you know you'll be attending: Blue Ridge warms up 2:45pm – 3:00pm, Lanes 4–6 at Klahaya. We'll also need to provide 3 timers for that meet — if you'd like to help out, please sign up here.

Other Reminders
